No. We had some requests after the famous youtuber "Marques Brownlee" claimed that our case was 3D-printed, but it's not. Our case is produced with injection molding technology, which has a way better quality with flawless surfaces.

It’s matte. After trying out several different prototypes, we've found that a matte surface is best. We quickly found that there were some disadvantages with a glossy surface. The first disadvantage was that a glossy surface led to increased sweat on our hands. The second disadvantage was that you have very little grip and the mouse tends to slip off. Also, if it was a polished glossy surface, each small scratch could be seen, and micro scratches inevitably happen in your day-to-day usage.

We eventually decided to go with a matte surface for our mice and we're really happy with the decision. The matte surface provides a good grip and doesn't show scratches as much.

Of course! Just like the Apple Magic Mouse, our case is also made symmetrically which suits lefthanded persons as well. Unlike other common iMac mouses like the Logitech MX Master, our case transforms every Magic Mouse into an ergonomic device for left and right-handed users. This means that you don't have to worry about the mouse not working well for you if you're left-handed.

No, there is one universal size. The Solumics.Case fits ideally for the majority of hand sizes! We put a lot of effort into finding the perfect size during our product development phase, we made dozens of prototypes in different sizes.

Over 90% of the testers found the final size of the Solumics.Case pleasing for their hand. So we're confident that the Solumics Case will make the magic mouse more comfortable for the majority of users.

The Solumics.Case is made from high-quality PC/ABS. This is advantageous because it can be recycled. Furthermore, the lightweight of plastics makes our case very lightweight- only weighing 32g! This is a significant benefit because our Solumics.Case doesn't really add extra weight to the Magic Mouse.

The reasons we decided against aluminum, first because the shape of the Solumics.Case is very complex, which made it impossible to manufacture from aluminum. Another reason is, that our case directly touches the bottom (aluminum) part of the Magic Mouse, which would have led to scratches if our case would also have been made from aluminum. All in all, the materials used for the Solumics.Case are both beneficial and practical!

The colors from the Solumics.Case are incredibly close to those from the Magic Mouse and the Magic Keyboard. The case is made from high quality plastics, and the surface structure of the material is very similar to aluminum.

In terms of color, we tried to match the aluminum colors of the magic mouse as closely as possible. While it's not possible to 100% match the colors, the case fits the color of the magic mouse incredibly well. As a result, your magic mouse will look great with a Solumics.Case on it!

No, when you want to remove the Solumics.Case from your Magic Mouse, there's no need to worry about any residues being left behind. You can remove the Solumics.Case from your Magic Mouse in one swift movement, and there won't be any glue or residue left behind (as there is none used).

Yes! When we set out to develop the Magic Mouse, we knew that it needed to be able to rest on its own bars. That was essential for two reasons: first, because the distance of the mouse and the surface is so precisely measured, it needs to remain the same in order not to cause any interference. Second, because those who like the usual friction of the Magic Mouse can keep enjoying this feature.

Yes, the front part of the mouse is still freely accessible. The front half of the magic mouse is where you execute clicks and gestures, and this area is still unrestricted with the Solumics.Case attached. What's important, with our case, you will not notice any difference in how hard you have to press in order to execute a click. The pressure applied to the click button is still the same.

Also, there is still enough room to scroll from front to back. Vertical scrolling is also unrestricted. Our case doesn't limit your Magic Mouse in any way - it just improves it’s ergonomics.

The short answer is no, not at all. In fact, it actually enhances the experience in several key ways. First, as mentioned previously, gesture control is unrestricted with the case attached. Second, the click mechanism still works exactly the same. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the magic mouse still rests on its own bars when attached to the case.
